A Pharaoh was like a living god to Ancient Egyptians. The Pharaoh's run through dynasties. When the current Pharaoh died, his oldest son would take his place. This would happen until the whole family of men had died, then a new dynasty would be chose.

After all this, if he had extra leisure time he would be entertained by his servants or have a conversation with his wife.
